Natural Law

During the delivery of the last issue we received an anonymous phone call in which the caller questioned the validity of what I’d written in this space. It appeared to me that he wanted some form of dialogue but he didn’t leave his name or phone number. I’m reluctant to use the limited space I have here for that purpose. However, as this is the first issue of 2023 it occurs to me that a brief summary of universal or natural law would be appropriate.

Many people use the recent holiday season as a time for making decisions about changes they wish to have in their lives. Sadly, by the end of January almost all of those decisions have fallen by the wayside. The reason for this is that people have not followed the laws of the universe in setting up and applying the changes they want to make.

This is probably because they haven’t understood the limitations of universal or natural law. To use universal or natural law to your advantage there are a few things you need to know about it:

• it operates 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. It doesn’t sleep, take holidays or go sick.
• it isn’t concerned with your beliefs or opinions and what you think about it is irrelevant.
• the colour of your skin, your religion, nationality, age, social status, education, cultural background, work experience, bank balance are all irrelevant.
• it happens in its own time, not when we think it should
• any returns mostly don’t come from the direction you might expect

A word of caution here. You can find universal law in all ancient spiritual texts. Don’t confuse spirituality with religion. Religion has rules, mostly made up by people who are now dead. Spirituality is about being the best you can be. You can also find versions of universal law in basic physics and psychology. For more on universal law please visit: www.handsonthinking.uk/blog
