We’re inviting you to a unique opportunity to see the beautiful coat worn by Sir Ian McKellen at the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Paralympic Games. It has been on display in our Heritage Centre since opening, but due to its fragility, it will now be placed in storage for its conservation.
We’d like to celebrate this important sporting heritage piece by welcoming the local community to visit for a ‘last chance’ to see the coat before it is put away. As well as this, you will have the
opportunity to view what will replace this piece in our display. Drop into the Heritage Centre at any time between 10am and 2pm!
