What a year! At the time of writing restrictions have been lifted with regards to masks and social distancing along with being able to hold various activities. On 10th August I was invited to give a short speech at the offi cial unveiling of a COVID-19 memorial at Aylesbury Vale Crematorium.

The second big event for me was the lighting of the Heritage Flame on 19th August in recognition of Sir Ludwig Guttmann and his efforts to show that injury doesn’t necessarily mean inability. I got to be a VIP at this (for me) very special event. Tokyo here we come.

WheelPower’s Tour de Vale is being held later this year, 19th September, following government guidelines. Please support this very worthy charity sporting event in whatever way you can. Brrr! Bit chilly, autumn seems to have come early this year.
